breast implant examination westchester

Have you undergone or are you thinking about breast augmentation surgery?  Have you lost touch with the surgeon who performed your breast augmentation surgery?  Or are you looking for more information about follow up for implanted breasts?

Breast augmentation is the most common cosmetic surgical procedure performed on women in the United States today. Many of these women do not remain in regular follow-up with their cosmetic surgeons, and thus the true natural history and complication rates of implant surgery are not well defined. There is currently no standard protocol for follow up for office visits or for radiographic imaging. This is a problem not only for women with breast implants, but also for physicians who advise these women in their breast care.

The physician researchers at Breast Implant Care seek to study these important issues by asking women who have been implanted or who plan to be implanted to participate in a landmark study and be followed by our surgeons over time. The follow up care would involve visits in a physician’s office as well as appropriate radiographic studies.

Breast Implant Care also seeks to establish a reliable, centralized source of patient information about breast augmentation surgery and follow-up care. This would contribute to overall patient safety and quality of care. If you would like to be a part of this innovative research to help physicians better understand breast implants, please contact us at 1-800-340-3789 or by email at info@breastimplantcare.com
