Karen S. Arthur , M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Arthur completed undergraduate and premedical training at Tufts University and Rutgers University before earning her medical degree from Mt. Sinai College of Medicine in New York in 1974. She went on to complete residency training in general surgery at Mt. Sinai Hospital.
Board certified in surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Arthur maintains several professional memberships. These include the American Women's Association and the Northeast Permanente Medical Group, for which she served as a member of the Board of Directors from 1988-1993.
Before joining the Breast Implant Care team, Dr. Arthur provided services as the Chief of the Department of Surgery at The Westchester Medical Group, Chief of the Department of Surgery at Northeast Permanente Medical Group, and a partner at Southern California Permanente Medical Group. She was a clinical instructor in surgery at the University of California – Irvine from 1979-1987.
